Cottage Garden

The site is a one acre waterfront property on the west coast. The garden design needed to consider strong winds, salt air, relatively dry summers, large mature trees, and voracious deer and rabbits. The garden was enclosed with a wire fence that would keep the deer out, and serve as a backdrop for climbing plants while still allowing enjoyment of the surrounding mature forest. The design incorporated a number of theme areas such as Asian Garden, Patio Garden, Rhododendron Garden and Woodland Garden.
